Once again I turned to Cooking Light for this week’s recipe. It sounded good: Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac ‘n Cheese. What’s not to like? Lots, apparently. It’s not that the end result tasted bad, per se. It’s just that it didnt’ taste like mac ‘n cheese. As usual I tweaked the recipe a bit — using rotisserie chicken and adding extra cheese to the top — and what was supposed to be chicken mac ended up tasting like tuna noodle casserole. So, it didn’t taste bad, but it sure didn’t taste like I expected.
Alas, not every recipe can be a winner.
